29 year old Asian Australian diver Melissa Wu, is now at her 4th Olympics and is kicking awesome goals! Yesterday at the preliminary qualifying round for the 10m Platform, Wu made almost perfect dives and scored a cumulative preliminary score of 351.20. This is just shy of the #1 qualifier Chinese diver Chen Yuxi who scored 390.70 points.

For the semi-finals held today and then the finals later in the afternoon, the preliminary scores do not carry over as with the finals where the top 12 qualifying scores do not carry onto the finals – so it is really a fresh slate.

Let’s cheer her on today and hope that she will get into the finals and bring home a medal for Australia!~
