Asian Aussie Diver Melissa Wu Scores A Bronze Medal In The 10m Platform Diving Final

What an amazing final that was! Our fellow Asian Aussie sibling Melissa Wu has just won the Olympic Bronze Medal at the 10m Platform Diving Women’s Final. She qualified 5th from the semi-finals with a total score of (334.50) behind the Mexican diver Gabriela Garcia Agundez (337.30) and US’ Delaney Schnell (342.75). The leaders were the 2 Chinese divers Chen Yuxi (407.75) and Quan Hongchan (415.65).

At the finals, Wu made 5 consistent dives which earned her the Olympic Bronze Medal with a total score of (371.40) behind the 2 Chinese divers Chen Yuxi who earned Olympic Silver with a total score of (425.40) and 14 year old Quan Hongchan who won Olympic Gold with a total score of (466.20).

Both the Chinese divers made almost perfect dives with the 14 year old Gold Medalist making 2 dives which earned her all perfect 10s.

But really, how awesome is it to see Wu get Bronze at her 4th Olympics. The last 2 Olympics of London and Rio, Wu was placed 5th and 4th at the finals.

Congratulations!
