Sydney’s Chinatown Will Become A Neon Town Street Festival

To all those in Sydney or will be visiting Sydney up to November 20 this year, go and checkout Chinatown, as it will explode into a neon-filled adventure playground with art, lights, music, food and more on the cards. Dubbed Neon Playground, the five-week street festival, will make your Chinatown trip just a little more exciting.

The festival opened on October 15 and will go all the way through till November 20, with Asian inspired stuff and artworks and performers including Chris Yee, Jason Wing, Joy Li, James Jirat Patradoon and Steffie Yee. Dance to Asian-inspired tunes by DJ Arisse, Nightjarr, Destructive Dance Steps, JYLPO, xTRILLIAMS, Dylan Goh, Chuey and others.

In addition, don’t forget to check out all the awesome Asian restaurants, Yum Cha, snack and most importantly bubble tea stores whilst you enjoy the lights, performances and art works!~

Neon Playground is being organised by Haymarket HQ in collaboration with Soul of Chinatown, Basalt Studio, the Haymarket Chamber of Commerce and Bespok3. Market City is also offering two hours off free parking to all Neon Playground visitors from 11am – 10 pm. But to be honest, it is most easiest to catch the train to Central or Town Hall and walk to Chinatown from there.

Send us any pictures you may have if you decide to check it out!~
