Another day and another murder of an Australian woman. What is scary is that in 18 weeks into 2022, 18 women have already been killed by their intimate partner. Sadly Asian women in Australia makes a big number of women who are domestic violence victims, and some end like this, where their lives are taken away leaving behind children without a mother – all at the hands of a man who is meant to be their partner.

In Melbourne, Deakin University lecturer Adam Brown has been accused and charged with the murder of his 35 year old wife ( her name has not been released on police documents ), but from news articles and from photos released, she is of Chinese background, and social media . The murder happened at the couple’s home in Croydon North over the weekend, and he faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon charged with her murder.

Detective Senior Sergeant David Martin-Alcaide told the court on Monday’s hearing that ( via news.com.au):
“Family in China have been notified (of her death); however, there’s also family in Sydney,”
“It’s more for the privacy of the family at this stage,”
