#ASIANAUSPOL is part of a longer term collaborative project between BEING ASIAN AUSTRALIAN and the ASIAN AUSTRALIAN ALLIANCE to identify, showcase, discuss, and encourage Asian/Asian Australians who are running as a candidate or who are already there for Federal, State and Local elections.
Yesterday, the date for the Federal Election as officially announced. May 21 is the D-Day, and it is interesting to know who are our Asian Australians running. As the #ASIANAUSPOL is about to launch let’s start by listing out the Asian Aussies running as candidates for Labor, Liberal and the Greens as lower house candidates. We will also do another piece soon on the Asian Aussies running in the Senate for Labor, Liberal and Greens as well as independents, micro and other parties for lower and upper house (senate).
So, here are the Asian Aussies running for Labor, Liberal and Greens! FYI – all candidate names are organised alphabetical order by state and names! This list includes those who are going up for re-election as well!~

Nominations to be a candidate close on April 21, 2022 – so where we have 29 Asian Aussies running for the lower house now ( 3 of them are running for re-election), who knows we may have more.
