Here is some good news! A number of Asian/Asian Aussies in entertainment are participating/been selected to take part in national and global programs in developing their craft and their skills.
The first one is the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) National Talent Group, where 12 Aussie screen creatives are selected to take part in an intense week long program to further develop their skills. Of the 12 Aussies selected, 5 are of Asian background.





They are: Pius Kung, Aarushi Chowdhury, Alice Yang, Miranda Aguilar and Brendan Wan.
The second is Screen Australia has announced its delegates for the “Talent USA: New York program”.

Among the delegates- Asian Australian creative Vonne Patiag is one of the delegates.
The Talent USA: New York program purpose is an opportunity for Australian creators to learn and network on the ground in the US.
On the 6th – 8th September the delegates will attend the Australian International Screen Forum (6 ā 8 September), where they will take part in professional development and networking opportunities with the support of an international mentor.
