Asian Australians Nominated For The Walkley Awards

It is uncommon to see Asian/Asian Australians win or even get nominated for the Walkley Awards. The awards are presented in Australia to recognise and reward excellence in journalism. They cover all media including print, television, documentary, radio, photographic and online media. The Gold Walkley is the highest prize and is chosen from all category winners.

We found through checking out social media 2 Asian/Asian Australians who are on the nomination list:

Category: All Media Public Services JournalismNAAMAN ZHOU (Guardian Australia, “Australia’s Delivery Rider Deaths”)

Category: Radio/Audio Feature

LAP PHAM (Angus Grigg and Lap Pham, The Australian Financial Review, “The Sure Thing”).

KEVIN NGUYEN (Background Briefing team with Alexander Mann, ABC Radio National, “The Base Tapes”)

Good luck to All!

Do you know other Asian/Asian Australians nominated? Please let us know so we can update this!
