Wow, this is absolutely amazing news. 3 hot and handsome Asian Australian male actors have just been cast in an upcoming “untitled” Lionsgate comedy. With Crazy Rich Asians screenwriter Adele Lim at the helm, this comedy stars the 3 Asian Aussies – Chris Pang ( Crazy Rich Asians), Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Alexander Hodge (Insecure). What is this comedy about? Well here is more on that from Deadline Hollywood:
The film, intended for an R rating, will follow the epic journey of four Asian-American women traveling through Asia in search of one of their birth mothers. Along the way, their experience will become one of bonding, friendship, belonging and no-holds-barred debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.
Pang, Chiam and Hodges, will star alongside Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu and Sabrina Wu, and play a love interest (Pang), current lover (Chiam), and a former lover (Hodge). So what is cool about all this, is that it will feature all Asian couples without the need for a white male protagonist.
