Netflix Australia Wants To Tell More Diverse Stories

Que Minh Luu, Netflix Director of Local Originals wants to broaden the scope of Netflix Originals in Australia, get more diverse stories and as she puts it “flex and experiment” for the year ahead. In the recent period, Netflix has bought on screen over 15 Australian titles and they want more. I feel its time to get more of our Asian Australian stories onto the Netflix screen, so submit your ideas!

Here is more with Luu in her interview with IF:

“What we’re trying to do in Australia is broaden the scope of the kinds stories we currently have, enable our world-class talent and creatives to lean even further into making quality shows that feel culturally ours, and empower younger generations to break through,”

“We’re building the appetite for Australian content on Netflix and we want to work together with industry to rise up to that challenge.

“We feel nothing but possibility, with a healthy undercurrent of fear to keep us honest.”

So get your stories in!
