Asian Australian Film And TV Creator TONY AYRES Working With Netflix On Tech Thriller “Clickbait”

Asian Australian TV and film creator TONY AYRES needs no introduction because he is at the top the game in Australian film and TV. Ayres has championed a number of Australian TV shows with diverse content – THE FAMILY LAW is the most obvious example but as we know there are many others which Ayres and Matchbox Pictures have commissioned and produced.

Anyways, this article is just to add an update on the projects installed for Ayres – because he has been boarded onto Netflix in setting up tech thriller “Clickbait”. Here is more from Variety on this awesome update:

It probes probing the dangers of social media and the widening gulf between people’s real and virtual selves.

The show is to be produced in Melbourne, Australia through NBC Universal-owned Matchbox Pictures and Tony Ayres Productions, together with Heyday Television.

Ayres (producer of “The Slap” and director of (“Cut Snake,” and “The Home Song Stories”) will serve as creator, showrunner, and executive producer, while White will serve as co-creator, co-producer, and writer. Brad Anderson (“The Sinner”) will serve as lead director of the 8-part series.

“Clickbait” will be the first Nteflix project to be filmed and produced in Melbourne, Victoria, so it has attracted and garnered a lot of potential finance and investment.

More to come from this I am sure!
