Time To Vote! Check Out The Asian Australians Being Nominated For This Year’s LOGIES!

I just submitted my vote for the 2019 LOGIE AWARDS, which for those who are non Aussies is like the equivalent to the “GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS”. Upon looking at all the nominees for certain categories, I did notice a few Asian Australian names which popped up, some I know very well and others which are new names to me, and so I voted upon seeing the names and shows which are about and/or feature Asian Australians. I would encourage ALL Asian Australians to vote this year because even though we are few on the nominee list, we are there and we need to start supporting our own to ensure more of us will be listed there for next year and the coming years to come.

For decades the Logies, have really just been an excuse for white Anglo Australians to congratulate each other for being on Australian television, and even though this is still primarily the case, we can at least see that change is coming with some of this year’s nominees more so than previous years. Though, it needs to be noted that in 2016, journalist and eccentric TV personality LEE LIN CHIN was nominated for the “Gold Logie”. Anyways, here are some of this year’s nominees and the categories they have been nominated in. To make things easy for all of you, I have gone through all the categories and the lists to highlight Asian Australian contributions!
