I know this news is slightly late, as The Emmys were on just over a week ago – however, it is still worthy of a mention. Ronny Chieng won an Emmy for the Outstanding Talk Series as one of the hosts for The Daily Show.
Some peeps may not necessarily see Chieng as an Asian Australian – but it is worthy to claim him – after all he did spend his university years in Oz and has contributed to the comedy and television scene here.
Anyways over a number of years, Chieng has been one of the rotating hosts on America’s The Daily Show and has been kicking goals there with his sense of humour and funny segments. And for his awesomeness on the talk show – he has won an Emmy for the Outstanding Talk Series category!
