Here we go again. Yes, the cycle of racism against Asians just continues and doesn’t stop. Here is a recent case.
Brazilian – Japanese man “Vic” was racially and physically attacked at Rottnest Island (where he is on a working holiday ) as a hospitality worker by three young men who were walking away after stealing his bike. Vic suffered facial injuries as he was kicked and punched to the ground. He suffered an injury on his forehead, a bruised eye, a concussion and a chipped tooth, in addition to the racial trauma he must be facing.
They also racially targeted him calling him an “a **** Asian”. He was interviewed by 7 News Perth and stated:
“What they said is something that hurts me, more than physically you know…”
Vic described the three men as in their 20s and remembers one had a blonde mullet. His friends in a panic took some blurry photos of the 3 racist idiots and police are investigating with the hopes of bringing these criminals to justice.
We would assume, Australia now has left a bad taste in Vic’s mouth.
